Digital Prints


Photo Pro can print from your digital media! When you bring in your media card or send your files through the Digital DropBox or FTP site, we will print your pictures on traditional photo paper for a clean, professional look you can't get at home. The digital world is changing rapidly, and our lab will help you get the most of your new technology without losing the quality of prints that you're used to.

Digital media are always welcome at Photo Pro, but there are a few guidelines to keep in mind before you begin submitting photos.

Resolution & File Size

Resolution is the amount of detail in spatial or color variation that can be identified in an image. To achieve a printable quality image, you must set the resolution (image size) and the compression (file size) of the image before taking it. Low resolution (small) images will not produce high quality prints. If you are planning to make prints, you must choose a higher resolution/file size before shooting the photo. Most cameras will save images in .jpg format.

Image Quality

The quality of the prints produced is in direct relationship to the quality of the image or photo that you supply. If you use a low-resolution scan, the quality of the printing will be affected. If you supply a dark or grainy photo, you may not be pleased with the results.

File Size Guidelines

Photo Pro only accepts files in .JPG, .TIF, and .PSD (PhotoShop) formats. The maximum file size is 95 MB. The following chart shows the minimum file size necessary to produce a high-quality print of each size. The chart is based on a ppi of 150, Photo Pro prints at 400 ppi.
